Well shits starting to get serious.. between alex actually starting to make money and me almost losing to a SLP package 2001 SS ... I've decided shit hit the fan and I'm gona need to make a trip to the home depot and mod up.


that being said... I did just about every free mod possible besides FRA (already done) and I mean everything... even the stupid small shit and I can actually tell a difference.


is there any proof that any of these mods do chit? I can honestly say I probably picked up between 5-10rwhp. All this for 12 dollars.

What all did you do lol?

i have 400 passes on my car. i cant feel 5-10 rwhp. your butt o meter must be more sensitive! lol.

go dyno it. only way to know.

also most of those mods dont add hardly if ANY power on the dyno. they might make the car run better though. esp the FRA. the other shit is just something to do.

well what I really thought would be worth while was the EGR deal... that thing cant be good for flow.. the Bump stop isnt to shabby either.. my TB actually opens up.. COMPLETELY. tb bypass is something I see making a SLIGHT difference after running the car for an hour or so and then racing.. the FRA IMO is beneficial too... but I'm gona shut up about the other few things I've done.

egr was simple

you better watch out.. alex's cars gettin pretty serious.. just a few more kinks to work out on the nawwzz and a lil hookup to the trusty laptop and hes gonna be peak.. id say by next weekend

I dont own an LS1 but I think its Free Ram Air ?

its free ram air. also known as a cutout air box (or lid). i started doing the FRA mod, but never finished it. maybe if i do it i will gain some mph on the big end.

well IMO I'd finish the FRA but I dont think you'll gain anything... maybe all the mods combined will net you 2mph.


I'd do the EGR... seeing you have a 99... it took me and LSS1 5 minutes.
