Default LS1 Spending Advice

Curious as to what some of you guys would do mod wise. The car is a stock 2002 SS A4, SLP 345 edition (lid, and CME) 24k miles. Best I've gotten out of it stock so far is a 13.4 @ 103. This is in 90 degree weather as well. No weight reduction.

I have a budget of $5k. I was originally going to go with a $3k budget and get some CCW's but I'm starting to think wheels can wait. What do you guys recommend?

Oh man...you are gonna love that car after $5k worth of mods.

Will is still be daily driver?
How do you feel about a large lopey cam?

Typically for a good street mannered car thats gonna perform well at the track I would go with a Cam such as the one RX sells Its a 224/228 cam on a 113 LSA. Great split between power and drivabilty. Youll need springs with that as well.
Next up will be a looser stall converter with tranny cooler. Gator will be along soon to tell you about converters...he has had a few.

Then a good set of headers along with a cat back exhaust.
And top it off with a tune.

This will get yuo in the 11s easy....and wont take all of your $5k either.

The car is my daily. Why have such a great car and not be able to drive it daily? lol.

I have spoken with the owner of Fuddle Racing, and he has my vote for a converter. I just have to decide what route I want to go before I get it.

2 votes for all motor. I'm likeing you guys more and more. I was waiting for the "get a procharger" response...

Sorry missed a question. I'm down for the lope. As long as it doesn't stall out on me. I'd like to keep the gas mileage close to what I'm getting now as well.

I would think you should be faster than that? Call revextreme I'm sure they can come up with a setup that you would love..... 813.628.0080

I'm not quite to the point of calling people. I'd like a general idea of what direction I'm headed. All motor, forced induction, etc...

As for the driveability on the stall. I have been reading a LOT on LS1tech about stalls. I gathered the same thing about the Yank. I was set on the Yank actually. Until the owner of Fuddle PM'd me, and showed me some threads with feedback on his item.
