Damn it can't be that hard to get a fbody to get it done off the line... I have a friend with an 02 ws6 that cut 1.65's with COMPLETELY STOCK suspension and 295/35/18 bfg gforce drag radials with a cam/bolt ons/stall.

Get a good set of tires, take off that front sway bar, and get a 3600-3800 stall and see if your desired 60ft has been reached. No need to go apeshit on suspension mods if you don't need to do so.

You can raise ur HP to compensate for lack of suspension, the 1.6 they are referring to is with the stock available power. With the better suspension you can get the full effect of the full power.

this is what NOT to do. putting more power to a poorly setup car will ONLY result in more spin and slower 60' times. i dont know what in the world you are thinking.

suspension makes a huge difference, and i want to do it once and right before i go building a ton more power and spin even more

my plans for this car are as follows, yet in no particular order: cam, stall, shift kit, shot, suspension, and some BFG's (maybe a set of heads, depends on $ funds). im thinking of throwing in a rear end, seeing how many people have issues with them compared with the ford rears.

although i did break a ford 8.8 in my fox, lol

so, id like to do a lot of hw and find out exactly what people are doing drag suspension wise

i want a 10 sec car once i finally finish my degree and have a daily driver. i want this to be a mean ass weekend warrior

and with the 60's gator is cutting (sorry about asking the brand of springs, lol, didnt read that carefully enough before asking apparently) id be well on my way. but i think ill take it a bit further than you have so far gator

not trying to be an ass of anysort, but by looking at the 60' in your sig you might want to do some suspension work before you go building tons of power.

although i dont know your set up at all, with that comment it just made me wonder for a sec

Check with RevXtreme, they have a hook-up with BMR.

+1 with the comment of half fast. check with rev xtreme. they have good prices and experience installing those suspension components.

also, i just got a trac pac tq arm welded on yesterday interestingly enough. you dont need it for just low 1.5s but i am looking for high to mid 1.4s next time out at the track. the bottle should help me out when i finally get to spray this time out. also, a drag rear sway bar (i am looking to the wolfe) should also be beneficial.

also i assume you are looking at drag wheels too? skinnys seemed to help me out a ton on the launch as well as no front sway bar.

btw, what are your goals 60' wise?

How does the front sway bar effect launch?

If you are looking at BMR stuff (which I highly recommend and use to achieve the times in sig) just go over there and bring cash. You WILL NOT find a better deal than that on their stuff. They moved over off of 301 in Thonotosassa so not a far drive at all.
