Default Fuel line connection threads

As you can see, I've messed up the first part of the threads on this fuel line connector. Is there any way I can repair this or do I need a new piece? If I need a new one, will an auto part store carry one or should I go to a junk yard?

The auto parts places only sell lengths of flared line. You will have to buy a piece and a tubing bender and bend it yourself if you go that route.

you can cut off the lip, put on a new piece and reflare it, but the cut would have to be minimal

Joe" your fuel line presure is 42-45 psi! a fuel leak could cause an engine fire? I know you are aware of this! But thought I would bring it up just in case? I Highly suggest you get the original stock piece anywere you can?

My solution: I manned up and forced it on. Since it was only the first thread and it went on easy after that I think all will be fine. No leaks so far.
