Default Somebody just moved up a notch..i'm finally

Down....After 16 months of trouble free racing, and many Nitrous runs with some big name Guys the Z06 has gone down...... I was cruising on 275 on my way to my football game and the car just cut out on me, and I had to be towed home :o ..After a few days of trying diffrent things to figure out the problem like chasing codes and such, I figured out what was wrong. To my utter Disbelief the timing chain broke causing servere valve train damage, 6 bent valves in all :o ..I never thought that something like that would happen just at crusing speeds, I have not raced anybody in quite some time now and the car has basicliy been sitting for the last 2 mts or so taking a break..NOW THIS! Well hopefully I will be back up and running before to long...But i'm sure by that time there will be many "New leaders of the street" ...Keep it up guys !!Be on the lookout for AL and Vince they are coming soon to pavement near u

Damn, sorry to hear that! Good luck on a quick recovery.

I'm betting it won't be quick, I'm sure once it's opened up you'll decide to do this and that and go with a whole new setup. It always happens.

Thats a big surprise! I dont think I have seen a broken chain yet?!?! Of course you were probably spinning that beast to 7100 rpms..lol.

Anyways...if you get off you ass and pull those heads and front cover you could have her back on the road in just two weeks maybe three if the head shop took thier time.

I hope to be ready by the time you come out.

Soz to hear about the car man. I know how you feel except, I had to replace a windshield, get a fiberglassing kit, ding out a fender, straighten the core surport, get a new piece for the front end surport and a driver side parking light. :/
