ok so my 94 LT1 heats up really fast.. like 3 or 4 runs down the 1320 and its at 210 degrees... and at 210 degrees my car runs LIKE SHIT... i lose a lot of top end power... how can i make this better? i have a hypertech and i have the thermostat set at 160 and that helped a little bit.. i dont have an aftermarket thermostat tho lol any suggestions that are low budget would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! thanks

 

Get a fan switch. I bought mine for my '97 from here, www.speedspecialty.com/store/ , nice and cheap and easy to install. But now that I have a computer programmed, my fans come on around 170* anyways so I hardly use the fan switch anymore. SLP sells a fan switch for our cars as well, but it's a $60.00 ripoff. (I tried that Speedspecialty site and it's not working, but there is a big thread on camaroz28.com in the group purchase section, where I got mine.)

 

turn on the heat you might get hot but your car will cool down pretty quick lol

Its only when your car sits it goes over 210.You run it hard scott lol , Next time after you run it hard stop it where you want it let it run a couple of mins then shut it off and just leave the key on where the fan is on to cool it down. Low baller answer

 

my fans dont come on unless the car is completely on..

haha yeah since the car breaks all the time they ahve to make the fans turn out without the engine turning over

210? That's not hot for an lt1. 230 or so is getting hot.
