I nice shiny new set of 6.0 heads from Valvegod. Ill be putting Brandons ass to work soon. Think 500 rwhp is possible from 383 ci??
I bet it is! Then bump the juice up to a 350-375 dual stage.
I thought your motor was built to handle only a 300 shot? Better watch those rings. 500 is doable, but you need to ditch that baby cam

Vince...the way he is lately with doing heads...you might have to come over and "motivate him". Hes been slacking lately.

Carl...Baby cam? Lol. I cant even remember the exact stats...but its a 236/242 .605/.610 on 112 or something like that. I will have Alan come up with a cam for me when the heads are flowed. It will likely be quite a bit larger.
Also...the motor can handle well over a 300 shot if you control detonation. I dont think 800-900 rwhp total is unreasonable in a staged setup with the proper timing and octane fuel. Im sure Ive hit over 750rwhp many times on the street already by bumping up the bottle psi to get that little extra push. That would be like a 350 shot. And this motor is still tight..not a hint of blowbye. Over a year and still going strong. I am considering pulling the motor to inspect bearings and rings and refreshening it very very soon though. That will get done before the new heads go on.

Youll still need to watch the rings. They were gapped to take a 300 shot, any more and the rings will grow more (from pressure and heat) and if you butt the end gaps together......... well, you know. It wont be the detionation or the size shot. You should call ARE and find out your ring gaps.

and that is still a baby cam lol

Soon.. LOL!! I might as well wait on Al to be done. I need someone to worship while my car is being built.. Plus, I am still going to need a stronger clutch because I doubt if my new SPEC 3 is going to hold. I am also going to need a stronger rear as well. Plus, I want to get a direct port when funds are right. That will give me unlimited spraying power. Like Al told me once b4. It is basically going to boil down to who is willing to spray the most. We all know Al has bigger balls than I. I on the other hand want this next motor to be the last in THIS car. I am going to play it smart this time around and invest in another car strickly for racing. I like my SS too much to continue putting it through this kind of stress

283lbs hoe!! 7lbs of water weight.. Al's setup is running strong as hell. I am not going to waste Al's time by lining up against him. I have a better chance of keeping up with John Force My plan is if I get beat I will call Al.. But like I said. I want this setup to last.. Downtime really sucks.
