Yep. I hope JPR steps up and pays for Eriks new build. The car has smoked from day one. Even he admits that.

Damn that was a long thread. And that truely suck that Mike's car is smoking after only 1000 miles on a H/C install. I would guess that the flycutting is what caused it but im no professional. Like missed alum pieces like he said that Eric did when just shaving the little piece for the LS6 valley cover.

My first GUESS would be the flycutting was too deep for a stock piston. Stock pistons arent made to be flycut. Aftermarket pistons have a little more meat in them to make up for the cuts.. stockers dont... Once could ASSUME that maybe the slitest little bit of detionation burnt a small hole in the valve relief. Thats just a guess from not seeing it

I doubt that. I would guess he didnt do too good of a job of keeping debris out of the area between the piston and cylinder wall during the H&C swap and the flycutting.

is it just me or does it seem as if alot of the LS1 specialists end up being called out for ripping people off or having poor work quality? Hell I know that when one of my customers calls me and says that anything is wrong with something I push everything to the side to check it out.

What is shocking everyone is this shop was known for good customer service and then you find out later they were hiding a lot of stuff.

I can vouch for Sam. You have went out of your way many times for me.
