Hooters backing for Elliott's 24

Monday, 23 January 2017

Kelly Crandall / Image courtesy of Hooters Chase Elliott will have Hooters on his No. 24 Chevrolet this season. Hendrick Motorsports announced Monday morning Hooters would be Elliott's primary sponsor in two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races. In addition, Hooters will also serve as an associate sponsor for the team in both 2017 and 2018.

Talladega Superspeedway on May 7 will be Hooters debut on the No. 24. Their second race will be the Chase race at Phoenix International Raceway on Nov. 12.
"Hooters started with six people in 1983, and now they're in 42 states and 28 countries," team owner Rick Hendrick said in a team release. "They've grown by focusing on the experience, earning the business of their customers and supporting terrific causes like cancer research and our men and women in uniform. NASCAR fans appreciate those things, and we have an opportunity to do some great work together."
Last season, Hooters made a return to NASCAR by sponsoring Greg Biffle during Throwback Weekend at Darlington Raceway.

While Hooters has served as a primary sponsor in the sport in over 150 Cup races, the 1992 season was its most memorable. The Hooters 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway saw the retirement of Richard Petty, the Cup debut of Jeff Gordon, while Kulwicki won the championship by 10 points over Chase Elliott's father, Bill Elliott, who won the race.
Elliott comes off a 2016 season where he was crown Cup Series Rookie of the Year. In addition to making the Chase, Elliott earned two poles and 17 top-10 finishes.
"Hooters is a place where I can let down my guard and have a good time," Elliott said. "It means a lot to have them support the No. 24 team, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel of their car. Being on the ground level of introducing a new partner to the Hendrick Motorsports family is going to be a lot of fun. Hooters has a historic place in this sport, and I'm glad they're back. Our entire team is looking forward to making the program a success."
Fans are encouraged to use the #Hooters24 hashtag throughout the year as the company has gone all-in with their new partnership.
Hooters has launched a full year of promotions, exclusive content and commemorative merchandise at hooters.com and beginning Monday fans will be able to register for a chance to win a trip to meet Elliott and watch the race on pit road at Phoenix in November.
All who register will also receive a $5 off certificate for their next visit to a Hooters restaurant. For a limited time, the first fans who register will also be able to purchase a limited-edition $24 Hooters gift card to commemorate Elliott and the No. 24 Hooters Chevrolet.
