Default Need Help Picking a Clutch

I need a good clutch for my '93 SE-R. I'm looking for something the will be close to smooth engagement and pedal feel, and will hold up to around 275 tq. I like Clutchmaster's Stage 3 disc, but like ACT's p/p's. I've heard so many good things about JWT's stuff, but don't like that they just rebuild stock unit, while the other companies produce everything to hold. Anybody have any suggestions? Some weird a.d.d. kid told me AP Racing, too. Can anybody help me out here?

I have a Clutchmasters..and the pedal feels good. not to hard..But I am gonan go with ACT disc

Go check out BayCity clutches on 40th st in Tampa//about 1/2 mile south of Hillsbourgh..they have good prices and probally the cheapest around..OR you can tell them what you want and they can make it for you...

Fisher Buggies in south Tampa..carry ACT and the prices are not to bad...
I recommend them 2 places first..Cause they stock clutches there..not like most of these "Auto import shops"who just order them online ..just like any Tom,Dick or Harry can do..then they mark up prices 40% to sell to you..I hate shops you go into and they can "get anything you want"and thewy order it from Nopi...anyone with internet and common sense should know to look online..if you have the resourses,,

I'm not sure how it is with your cars, but most of the aftermarket clutches (ACT, Clutchmasters, Centerforce) for the Focus utilize the stock pressure plate. The manufacture files off the Ford part #, spray paints it, and puts a sticker over the filed portion. Just a little FYI, but it may not apply to you.

Most of the DSM Guys are running ACT PP's with Steel backed disks from Bay City Clutch in Tampa. I am runn this in my Talon and we all swear by it.

Get the ACT HD PP and see if Bay City Clutch can make you a steel backed B-15 disk. That would be your best streetable combo.
