Default Orlando Autoshow - No Nissan?

So we went to the Orlando Autoshow on Saturday. The show was small as usual - comparing to the ones I've been to in Chicago - but we noticed no Nissan? As well as no BMW (except Mini), Mercedes, Audi, etc.

Anyone know why Nissan wasn't there? I mean this event usually has all the daily d manufac's in it.

I missed test driving the V6 Camaro which they had properly set up in the back parking lots this time but I'll find a V8 to test drive. Stupid sunset and long line...

Also once again no CR-Z ... grumble. But it is supposed to hit the showroom floor August 2010.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Maybe cost or location was the biggest factor into why some of these companies didn't show up.

Yeah, it was weak. I was really pissed that Nissan wasn't there, because I really wanted to check out a 370Z. CRZ would have been nice, and an LFA would have been great. Also, Subie didn't even have a WRX, let alone an STI. WTF.

That was wierd that there wasn't an STI there.

Lexus had the ISF which was nice. We saw one at OSW the night before but I missed it run.

The Crosstour was there by Honda but last year it wasn't. It's wierd that they do that. I was talking to one of the reps and was like fine, I'll just head to the Tokoyo Auto Salon to see the cars I want to see.

Nissan was there last year and even had a GTR. I didn't know they were struggling that they couldn't even make the show.

The Caddy Wagon was pretty nice but not one will be made in a manual. I guess that kind of makes sense but that still sucks. I guess Holden has a wagon that they would have brought over as a Pontiac but again ... nope. So one out of two then?
