Question about drilling lug patterns-
First off, who can do this? I doubt many shops have the tool...
And how much would it cost to get this done?
Rims with my lug pattern are basically not existant (4x10
, so I'm thinking I'll buy teg or civic rims and drill another set, seeing as there isnt shit for my car.
BTW READ MY SIG.

have you considered lug conversion adapters? If you dont know what im talking about, here's an ebay listing 4-LUG to 5-LUG ADAPTER KIT 4x108/114.3mm TO: 5x114.3mm:eBay Motors (item 370229777614 end time Sep-12-09 14:21:12 PDT)
2" thick wheel adaptors FTL, though.
I'd start calling machine shops and/or wheel repair shops...
Or check out VWvortex Forums: 4x108 Classifieds

I had adapters that were one inch thick and i looked like an oldschool low rider...
I also looked into hub conversions, but they're expensive as well.
I really am looking for something local, and even if I were to get rims shipped, there isnt that big of a selection with 4x108 pre-drilled. Which brings me back to my original ordeal...
Anyways, thanks so far.

Any decent machine shop should have a milling machine, basically a more complex version of a drill press. With this machine they should have an indexing head, which allows hole patterns, such as lug patterns, to be made. Also, any good machinist can do it without a indexing head, its just very time consuming if done manually.

I've thought about looking for a machine shop to do this as well. My bolt pattern is 5x115mm and almost all the decent wheels I can find are 5x114.3mm. It's such a close size I figure they should easily be able to machine them out to fit 5x115.

They can fill them too? Awesome, rep'ed, thanks!
Just thought of something else. If you have the right kinda of hubs, you can also take the hubs off instead and get a different bolt pattern drilled in the hub (between the existing holes) then take out the studs and move them to the new holes. Viola! New bolt pattern and no need to mess with the wheels. Just have to make sure the wheel you want has the right center bore to fit you hubs of course, and if you'll need hub rings or not... the usual stuff.

Should a shop be able to do this or what? Where should I even start looking, I don' think this is a simple task.
