My friend just crashed his 03 Mitsubishi Evo and I was wondering if there was a way to take the motor from the Evo and put it in my 97 Dodge neon. any thoughts on how I could do it

Can it be done? Yes, no doubt in my mind.
However, the fact that you're asking that question at all tells me you don't have the know-how or experience to do the job yourself, and by the time you pay a shop enough money to do it for you, you'll have spent enough on your Neon to buy an Evo.
