If you really want to know, do a little research on the chassis designer....then remember that every team had to start from scratch going into this season, rather than just improve on last years car....

Wow. Everything from the last few years of F1 racing has been thrown out of the window. The domination of McLaren and Ferrari has truly come to a sudden end.

so newie designs a better car from scratch than the ferrari and mclaren engineers that won ridiculous amount of championships? like i said, it doesn't look good for them at all. the only disadvantage they had was developing last year's car to the bitter end, but i thought they were good at multi tasking.
but with massa's electronic problems today, i'm starting to think the designers are a bit off their game, or not really motivated(ie fat cats).

We will see what happens when all the other teams develop the diffusers, looks like it's going to be an RBR/Brawn duel this year.

It was a great race though. I'm happy for RBR doing so well early on in the season along with Brawn.

KERS is a gimmick that I doubt will last longer than a year. Obviously the teams not running KERS aren't struggling and it just seems the benefits are nulled from the added weight.

Im still surprised Kubica didn't retire after running into Trulli.

I think we are seeing the slow decline of the barwn cars classing the field.. redbull will be getting their act together a little more with each race and the big names with catch them pretty soon. in the end of it all, button and RB really arn't that fast of drivers. there's an A list, and neither are one it.

I'm going to say by 3 more races, you will see them fighting for mid pack.

I'm going to make a very early guess. zo pulls off the champ this year with LH 2nd... I make that guess by how fast he turned ING around last year.. almost the same thing is needed this year and he's one of the best at it. I hate LH but the damn kid can make shit happen on the track durning the race. remember he should have been 3rd in the first race before his team and him did some stupid shit.

kers may be a gimmick this year but the rules for next year say you have to use it... and knowing f1 those rules won't change. so look at it as those who can make it work this year will be better off next year.

It was an enjoyable race to watch. All the rain causing cars to slide and spin and even hit the wall. Wow that camera shot of the tire flying across the track was like, wait where did that come from?

Next week in Bahrain should be interesting unless there is a dust storm. My Saudi and Iraq teams have sent me pictures of the dust storms they have been in. Does not look like fun.

In the end the best tech is not going to win the race, it is the human who knows how to work with the tech that wins.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

just saying that if you look at his track record of design in F1...he is a stud! I think McL and Ferrari were also so busy fighting for the crown last year that they did not have as much time to develop the new car. That will change, but not nearly as quickly as it used to since there is NO testing during the season now...

Rain is the ultimate equalizer...it becomes much more about the driver than the car at that point. Vettel is a rockstar in the rain and drove one hell of a race.

redbull is fast in the dry too.. something about the pullbar rear that's been lost in all they defuser bullshit. makes for good grip.

that very well may be the real story of this year. well that and they have already said their defuser is coming soon. look for red bull to be in the hunt most of the season. wet or dry.
