**Help Needed - Tampa Area Car Inspection**
I am in need of some of your guys' help. I am looking at buying a car in the area north of Tampa (Lutz). Based on how the phone call goes today with the dealer, there is a distinct chance that I will be driving down to Florida from Ohio to pick up a beautiful Mk4 Jetta VR6. Before I buy it, I want to have the car inspected professionally so that I know EXACTLY whats up with the car.
Here's a link to the google maps location of where the car is located. For those too lazy to click, its about 2.5 miles north of U.S. 41 and I-275. Google Maps Location
If anyone knows of a reputable place not too far away that will do a full inspection and how much it'd cost, that'd be immensely appreciated. If things go well on the phone today, I plan on making the trip next weekend, getting to the Tampa region by about 10am. If there is any other information that you have that I could use, that'd be much appreciated.
Thanks!!!

Bring it to any Sears Automotive Center.
24 Point Inspection
Suspension & Steering Evaluation
^ those are both FREE.
also a brake evaluation is 15 dollars if you'd like to have that done.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

@ Scott90... how far is one of those automotive centers from the area I'd be in?
Free is good, i like that. I just want to make sure that the inspection will cover everything, and im willing to pay to have it looked at well.
... I thought there was a Sears Automotive Center around the University Mall area? University Mall area is off of Fowler Ave. Good luck with your purchasing..

Your right there is one near it! That is really close too! Repppzz for kumar!
I think you should have someone from the lutz area go and inspect the car before you make plans to come all the way here... I don't live close enough, but maybe kumar does? Chance for a good deed up for grabs

its kind of hard to get a good inspection, cause if you bring it to a dealer, theyre going to give it to a fucking lube tech who wont know shit. Its a tough call. Ive always gone with Ammco, they always do you right, but there repairs are expensive as fuck. Damn good work, but you definitely pay for it...
Don't worry about your car, I will check it out for you. I'll get some video of it running, some detailed pictures of things I find wrong with it, etc. I would still have it inspected when you get down here though, b/c i can't possibly catch everything from a test drive. What i can do is give it one hell of a visual inspection, listen for knocks pings, check leaks, etc. Then at least you know someone looked at it b4 you get here.
When i bought my wrx, my best friend was in davie, fl at the time and he was able to check it out for me. W/o that, i never would have bought the car. I understand what its like to buy blind, so i'll help ya out. I gotta be in lutz this week anyways to follow up on a recent project
