That e34 is so nice, I'm digging the mk3 with the corvette wheels. I am tempted to get an old bmw or vw as a dd. I just imagine a few things breaking though and before I know it I would have 6K+ in repairs.

I had a MKIV GTI and the transmission had been rebuilt more than 4 times (I think it was 5 or 6 total) by time I hit 45k miles. And I didn't beat on the car, it was 100% stock. I traded it in on my mustang at about 50k miles with the original tires on it. Needless to say my faith in both Reeves technicians and VW is not that great. That being said my dad still has his MKIV with over 100k on it and no problems, we both had 5spd 1.8T's.

No 17" faces in 18" barrels and lips. Thinking about going this route.
