Default Wheel offset

Does anybody know if it is possible to shave an offset from a wheel? I am planning on buying some other volks that are +35 offset which is too aggressive for my Legacy, I need more like +45. Will a machine shop take care of this? Has anybody had it done?

depending on how thick the matting face is, you might be able to scrub 5 mill on a CNC machine. 10mil might be pushing it.

it's probably not worth the hassle. i would see if i could find the same rims in a higher offset instead of trying to machine them. you could possibly use the +35's and camber/stretch tire if you really want those rims, but in the end it's your call.

Buy the right wheels for your car so the rest of us don't have to worry about the wheel breaking because you were too cheap to buy ones that fit.

machining them would cost more than getting a completely new set with the correct offset.
Why the hell would anyone want to mess up some pretty Volk wheels?????
THINK THINK gosh
