What's up everyone, this is my first post here.

I have a 79 Fiat Spider with a Weber carb and only 50k miles on it. I just bought it and it was running fine, but since the last owner had it sitting for a couple months, I decided to run some carb cleaner through it. Well now the car won't hold an idle, you have to tach it up to 2k to keep it running. I'm assuming that the carb cleaner loosened up some dirt and it's now clogging a line.

I'm looking for a mechanic that works on imports, specifically Weber carbs.

Any help would be appreciated.

call up Fisher Buggies in tampa, i believe all they use is Webers from the old VW's.

Check out Franco's imports off of 66th st south of ulmerton in Pinellas park.
He works on all kinds of older imports like fiat, alfa romeo, ferrari and the like.
