That TBO article annoyed me.
I decided to write to the editor,it goes as follows...
Concerning a recent article titled "Need For Speed Is A Dead End". I noticed the journalist citing posts on a forum called Tampa Racing, which considering a timeline from when the article went to print from when that post was made shows a possibility of a last ditch effort to fill space on a paper and a very amateur attempt at it as well. Not everyone on Tampa Racing partakes in street racing, there are charity car washes, charity car shows, and legal events at local race tracks,I think those should be recognized.A simple search for charity on the site would bring you numerous threads of such acts of kindness, just as easy to locate as your writer searching for street racing and picking the first thing they saw related.
I think other people should contact that paper as well, that article was such a piece of shit last ditch effort at making a deadline,I think a down syndromed infant could probably come up with something more well thought through and intriguing.

I hope you actually put spaces after the periods and comas in your message. It will look more professional.

whats funny is, they responded to Zate
The story she was referring to was one that RevExtreme put on, not us. Further shows the ignorance on display in that article.
First, thanks for taking the time to send me an e-mail.
I had absolutely no intention of depicting Tamparacing.com in a bad light. I never once said Tamparacing.com condones street racing nor implied that. However, there are users on the site that do speak about street racing—and the story was about street racing.
I’ve never heard of the positive aspects of street racing before, unless you speak of the camaraderie among friends or showing off what’s under the hood of a car, which I included in the story.
Also, we have written several stories about track events last year. (See below) We have not written about every single track event, and we can’t write about every single track event. But I did include Tampa police’s desire to implement a similar program like Race Legal in San Diego.
Once again, no one is saying Tamparacing.com condones street racing. But feel free to send me information about track events that Tamparacing.com will be having in advance if you want them possibly publicized in the paper or online.
Best,
Mari

Your going to catch some shit if people talk about street racing on here.
Period point blank.
There is even a forum for it on here. Putting a disclaimer at the top saying everything is fictional is a lame attempt at best to cover it up.
