ok so i need a phone number and all i have is what is on the police report, the cop must have written something down wrong, all i have is:
-the name of the person that was driving the car with their DL number and birth date
-the year, make, vin, and license number of the car
-a name of an owner that doesn't come up on any person search website (like zabasearch.com)
-their insurance carrier and a policy number that doesn't show up at that insurance carriers database
-addresses for both driver, and owner

Any idea how to get a phone number for either of these people? should i call the police station and try to get in contact with the officer? or what? i'm lost! HELP!

 

You can always hire a private investigator..

If you are having trouble confirming their insurance info call the FLDMV- Dept. of financial responsibility in Tallahassee. They have people there that can help you.

man i hate PI i hired one and I had to pay 500 dollars up front. Then i signed a agreement that he will try his "best" to solve the case even if he couldnt solve it. At the end he didnt do shit didnt catch the person or anything. I never heard from him again.

Do you have the on-site report, or the official crash report?
You can order/pay for the official report over the Tampa Gov website, or go visit them personally to pick it up.-Bob

next, did you report to your insurance company that you were given fraudulent information by the other party?

third, call the Florida Financial Services number (insurance commissioner).
They might be interseted in the fraudulent information, and can tell you what your rights are.........and maybe where to go from there.-Bob
