Fuel Pump making wierd noise
well basically ever since my timing belt snapped, my fuel pump has been making a wierd ass noise when it primes, like its clogged, i dont think the 2 have anything to do with each other, but it just started happening after the belt went to shit, im wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what it might be

Is it worth carrying a junkyard/used pump as a backup in the trunk,
with some tools, in case this one dies, so you don't get stranded or stripped on the side of the road? If I thought it was going, I would cut an inspection hole in the floor *today* so I don't have to drop the tank, later.
If I was really concerned, I would plumb in an backup electrical drag race pump, with a switch for when the stock pump goes....and do it *before* the stock pump goes.-Bob
