School starts tomorrow so drive safe and be aware because kids don't watch out for cars! Give yourself some extra time if you pass a bus stop or school zone! Traffic is going to be a major pain in the ass tomorrow morning....

 

Seems like school starts earlier and earlier every year.

And usually the first few days of school is when kids get hit by cars.

but yeah, don't pass school busses, seriously slow down to 20 in a school zone, and just watch out in the morning and afternoon, because your right, they really don't watch out

 

I'm driving to work when the middle schoolers are getting picked up. I hate the months from August -> June when it comes to the traffic due to all the extra congestion caused by school.

On another note, I swear when I was a kid school buses did NOT have stops along major roads like they do these days -- they would pull into a neighborhood to let kids off instead of stopping on a busy street during rush our . WTF changed

Also, August 2nd?? When I went to school it was more like August 22nd. Why did that change?

I'm making myself feel old here at 24 with all the "when I was a kid..." stuff

 

they're going to push back the start date starting next year

guess why, cmon, guess...

they don't want to pay the teachers, go figure, jackasses

 

Fine with me. They should let the little brats out in May and not go back until Sept. A kid should have a summer vacation where he can do some work and start being productive in society. School sure as hell doesn't prepare them for anything.

 

Seeing lil highschool girls waiting at the bus stop makes me horny.

You should also tell that to all the middle aged men on their way to work sitting at the stop light watching them cross the road.

I don't know if you know this, but kids are growing up so fast nowadays.
