go through it in your head, i had about 5 minutes experience and and sucked, then never drove stick again, but just thought about it all the time, and when i got my license and my prelude, i drove it home myself no problems, it really isn't that hard.

just make sure you do it with a stock car, lighter flywheels and stuf will make it harder on a beginner

I drove a stick for the first time on the road last year. It wasn't hard at all for me... Kinda funny b/c that was my first time, and I told my friend that I knew how to drive stick (she wouldn't have let me drive it if I told her the truth, lmao) and I got it like that... Guess it depends on who you are, becaue I've heard some really funny stories... lol

yes it does, but its non functional. You can shift without it.

Yea, that would help a little so you can get used to shifting the gears. Just shift slow and think about what your doing until you get used to it.

best thing i ever did was ride the clutch from a standstiil giving the car no gas at all, wait until the clutch engages and you begin moving, then keep letting out until the car is close to stalling, then modulate with throttle.
dat simple.
