Garage Door Openers...suggestions...experiences...etc
well...i'm about to buy a house...and i'm definitely installing a garage door opener. please list the brand you would recommend...and possibly a link as well.
its for a 2 car garage...which i believe has an 18ft door opening.

I have a Genie I got from Home Depot. Its their top of the line unit and its got a gear drive instead of a chain drive. Its much quieter and requires less maintenance than the chain setup. It also came with 2 code hopping remotes, outside keypad, all of that stuff.

I have the Craftsman 3/4hp chain drive on my 2 car garage door. Not a single problem in 3+ years. I don't know what kind of maintanence is requires but I haven't done any.
