Any xr4ti people here. I have almost compleated my auto to 5spead, and O what fun it has been. I just need a driveshaft for it. I can not wate to drive it but this is just holding me up just a bit.

does any one know where I can get one or if you have one laying around 87 xr4ti 5speed shaft

I thought the auto driveshaft was the same?..The Merkur's a foxbodie car right?..If so just get a 4cyl 5speed drive shaft..I picked mine up for $20..If the yolk's whats different I got one you can have..Jamie

 

No, It has a 2 peice drive shaft, I just need the front half the spline is the same for the trans. it is about 2- 2 1/2 in to long. i though it was the same when i started this hole thing.

some one told me that i can put a one peice shaft but i needed to get something to make it fit the rearend. So I do not know.

you can sometimes find them in junkyards..I used to have a couple XRs, but sold them, I actually see them in junkyards more than on the road these days...also try car-part.com

 

Get a turbo coupe's drive shaft... that what was done with my mekur.. also pm "Rales" He's the best merkur guy around.

you will need to measure from the end of the trans output shaft to the yoke of the rear diff....
