I was just around town and I happened to see this guy. Sorry about the poor picture quality it was with a camera phone. But just incase you cant tell what is going on. that bump on the back of the car is a roof scoop facing backwards.

yea, i agree with kirk. also, whats the point of a roof scoop if you dont have an old rear engine vw?

 

True race cars don't have AC so they use roof scoops to cool the driver, and of course for some mid and rear engine cars. For any other reason it is retarded.

I knew a guy that had the roof scoop mounted backwards like the above pics. He said it reduced cabin pressure. I'm still laughing as I type this. No lie.

idk...is it suppose to function like a tilted sunroof?
i know that cabin pressure is affected by this..i was goin like 90mph w/ the sunroof tilted open...n when i closed it my ears popped

but this scoop is just gay..wrc uses a regular scoop on the hood because there is no a/c..but those are full bred race-cars

 

99.9% of the roof scoops you see on any street car are non-functional. I'm sure this scoop is no different.

FYI, the vast majority of WRC cars have scoops on the roof of the car for ventilation to the passenger compartment. The scoops in the hood are for ventilation of the engine compartment.
