For those of you with hood pins....
I decided to take the racecar out for a spin after working on it for a while.I layed into it and suddenly saw the hood fly up and smash it went.Luckily it didnt break thru and cut me all up.Now i have to get a new hood and i'm having the new windshield installed monday.It was my stupidity for not remembering to reinstall the pins and now i'm paying the price.Use my experience to remember to put those damn things back in before you ride out....

Thats sucks man...same thing happened to me except with a crappy stock latch.
Get Safelite...they are by far the best windsheild tech anywhere. Cheapest and cool people too.

Yes, but are those pins black? I know you could just buy another set, but you said there wasnt any black ones, IMO it would be worth it.

i had almost the exact same thing hapeen to me....it sucked. my fiberglass hoods never flexed at all, i don't know about all that carbon shit you guys use.

Years ago I had an integra for sale at a lot I worked at, some people came to look at it, popped the hood and all that, then left. A little while later I went to run to the store, didn't even think to check the hood and make sure they latched it shut. Here I am in the right turn lane on 19 trying to get over into traffic, the asshole next to me speeds up blocking me off, I lay into it trying to get out in front of him as there is a line of cars behind him, right about the top of second, BOOM hood flys up, glass goes everywhere, rear view mirror pops out and hits me in the head. Battered car, bruised ego, great day!!
