wrx vs new civic si
ok so im sitting down reading import tuner while im in the bathroom and i see something interesting.
according to subaru the wrx has 227 hp 217 tq according to the import tuner dyno its: 176 hp 193 tq so then i look at the civic si wit the new k-series engine according to honda it puts out 160 hp 132 tq on the dyno 153 hp 131 tq yes right now the wrx is killing the k-series with torque but only by 23 hp.now take a turbo kit throw it on the k-series from rev hard and they clocked the si on the dyno at 243 hp 198 tq @ 7psi with the turbo kit (3g) and the si(19g) could i say the si is a better buy then the wrx(24g)?k-series beat the boxster? and yea its was import tuner :P |
you could say that, i have seen some new si's done up nicely!
just go look up this guy called cheesefrog, he has one of the fastest si's i have seen! |
and then you take all that HP/Tq from the si and piss it away through 2 spinning front wheels.

So you have to spend like $4,000-$5,000 on a turbo kit and install, lose your warranty, just to likely lose to the wrx still in the 1/4 because your spinning your front tires all the way down the track? Then there's the fact that the wrx smashes the si in any other performance competition...
Better value? I think not. |
