Windshield seals
Just wondering if anyone knows about what it runs to have your front windshield seals redone? And where/who to get it done by? The car I'm buying is pretty old, and there are spots that are all cracked and deteriorated, one piece on the top is like drooping and hanging down. Doesn't leak, but looks like crap. Any suggestions for any local places would be appreciated.
Best bet is too buy new "window Moldings" from NISSAN. Most window replacement companies don't replace them, they re-use your originals, or they order it from the dealer.
So is it running yet?

I something were to break your front windsheild and you get an insurance paid for replacement if your seal is degraded it will also be replaced and paid for by your insurance if you have comp.
If you pay for it on your own I would guess it would be more than $100 and less than $200.

Is windshield replacement included in PIP? Someone said in FL it has to be replaced, so it's covered by insurance. A safety issue or something.
Of course, my seatbelt not working right is less of an issue, as it'd be $800 at the dealership to replace, if I find the parts for them.

PIP = Personal Injury Protection, nothing to do with physical damage to vehicles.
Leslie, usually shops end up having to replace the whole windsheild when they may only want to re-seal the window. It usually cracks or breaks when they take it out. Depending on the car may cost $300 - $500, depends on the car etc.. Make sure it is not just the moldings on the outside that need to be replaced like Rice Rocket said, that is different.
