Engine Life Expectancy on Nitrous
I'm currently in the process of building my new motor. 383 similar to Car Crafts (http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/84459/), hoping to get similar results.
I am going to be using an Eagle Forged Crank, Forged Eagle H Beam rods, and Forged Wiesco Pistons with ARP Fasteners.
The question is, how long do you think the bottom end will last on a good shot of Nitrous (probably around 300)?
I was told by a friend using the same bottom end for an all out race car that he gets around 75 passes on a 600 shot. Since this is a street car I would like it to last a bit more than 19 miles but I think I would like to run a 300 shot.

I know people that have been running a 300 shot for years on a forged crank. A 300 shot is not "that" much when you have the right internals, as it seems you do.
Same runs still apply. Try not to shoot under 3000 RPMs.

Shoot above 3000rpms like debian said ... the internals you have are pretty stout and should handle it, but makes sure you get yourself a GOOD tune, 300 is a pretty big shot.

It's all in the tune.. lean it out and things go bye bye..
Side note, do you already have all of your internals? I've got a 351w stroker kit that is 377ci (standard bore vs. .30 over), all forged, but probably would put your compression over where you want it (13:1). Selling it for $1500, kit has 10 pistons in it.

Don't buy the AFR 195's. Get the 210's they are the same money and a much better head. Also, if you are going to put a roller cam in it please, please, please call the cam company you are using and get a custom cam for you application. The cam and heads dictate the power, everything else is just going along for a ride.
