Friend of mine got an RX-8
 

I dont know if this should be in the mazda forum but I gotta say that the RX-8 is a very nice car, inside and out... She has the AT with paddle shift and it has plenty of "zoom" for her and it handles great too... I on the other hand think its a little sluggish but still pretty damn nice...

...just thought i'd let ya guys know...

They aren't bad cars at all. I'm not a big fan of how they look, but they are cool little cars.

IMO they are fugly.

And severely overpriced.

i dont like cars that look excessively fast when standing still... ie probes, wavy ass body kits, 3000 gt's.. supras and eclipses are ok though ;)

i like the look of the older ones better(95_96)

The thing that sells the RX-8 to me is the seating room... If you haveent gone and sat in the back seat of the RX-8.. your missing out when you realize how good it is for a "coupe" style car

It definately is a great car, imho. I went for a test drive in one. Me, 2 of my friends, and the salesman all fit into the car with no problems as far as space. Its a decievingly big car. Its got plenty of zoom too.


As far as it being overpriced, how do you figure? Its in the same class as the G35/350Z, S2k and such. It handles better than them, has way more space, is a few ticks behind in terms of speed and is cheaper...

I thought she got a good deal.... payed around 26 for it, with the navigation, and paddle shift auto trans.... its a sexy car and i can still fit in the back seat and im 6'0.

ah, but then you're stuck with an rx-7 instead... with the new "look" comes the new name, no way around that one. not that anyone would ever pay for a name... haha.
