im looking for as much information on the Garrett T3 turbo as i can, my brother gave me one and im gonna do a custom turbo on my car but i never heard of a Garrett T3 turbo, tried looken on yahoo but doesnt give me much info, if anyone knows about em let me know, thanks

 

Not a huge turbo.... Lingenfelter uses two T3 Garretts on their 650 hp vette and the 427 twin turbo 740hp. I think porche uses them too..
But if Lingenfelter uses them they have to be good. For a 4 cylinder its a decent sized turbo.
Thats the extent of my knowledge on the T3

 

there are about 50 million types of T3... well not THAT many but, which kinda car did it come off of? Whats the A/R printed on the housing?

 

thanks zdriver96 it gives me a little knowledge about the turbo, slash i wouldnt be able to tell you anything about the turbo yet because my brother hasnt shipped it to me yet he is in vegas he is polishing it for me and everything like that, they get them all day over there so he had one lying around so he gave it to me, as soon as i find out more will let you know, thanks guys

 

Nope, porsche uses KKK which is now owned by Borg Warner.

Some porshes use them as aftermarket upgrades though.
