Question launch

just got my nitto drs. 275 50 15s and i have a horrible wheel hop problem. i wonder what you guys think i should launch at wednesday night at sunshine. because of the wheel hop i cannot get them blistering hot in the burnout box. they rub a little at 30 psi and if i deflate them too much, i think the rub will get much worse. 3500 on the street is a good rpm for my car of the line. but i havent taken them to the track yet.

any ideas would help

i am getting 1/4 in spacers at gear head monday. see what that does for the rubbing.

stock. i have some torque arms sitting at home i can put in, but i have eibach springs on the car, and if i put the torque arms on, they hit everything on the road. i need to mod my suspension, but in a little while i will be able to. the arms i am talking about connect to the rear end to the bottom of the car. i had to cut off the quad shocks to get the tires to fit, bit they were so old and rotten anyway, it made no diff. in the hopping.

I run 25psi on the street and 16-18psi on the track, with my BFG's. I don't get wheel hop on mine. It's hard to launch perfect on the track. Last time I either over reved and peeled them or try to be conservative and bogged it. No tach owned me.

But I also didn't heat'em up.

If you are running the stock lowers, you will have to run the quad shocks too or the wheel hop will eat you up. Get some good after market lower control arms and you can eliminate the quads. If you were getting the hop before you took the quads off, they were shot already and wern't doing their job.
