2001 Cobra Tach

Default 2001 Cobra Tach

Hey Guys, I have a '01 Cobra, 5 spd... need to know how to hook up an autometer tach... i have the tach adapter but cannot figure out what to hook to in the '01. Any help would be great. Thanx..Nick

not sure which adapter u have, if u can explain what they are telling u a little more i'm sure i can help u out, i've encountered 3 or 4 different adaptors, all of them being slightly different

Alright great... I forget the part number, but i think thats it's the only one that autometer sells. It's just called a "tach adapter". i dont know if thats all you need or what though. thanx again

I'm pretty sure thats the one that requires you to cut the main feed for the coil packs and split it in order to run it through the tach adaptor, i can't remember the color but you can catch it near the passengers side firewall running into the main harness, there will only be two wires per each pack, so check and see which one is concurrent to all packs and then look for that one in the main harness, like i said u have to cut it and run the one side through the tach adaptor then reconnect it out the other side. anyways hope this helps.
