Default More problems...

So after I put my new belt in it seems like their is a lack of air getting to the engine or something, idk. It idles funny, lower than usual. When I accelerate instead of the nice throaty sound coming from the exhaust its joined with a buffeting sound as well, and the smell of gas fumes is more profound. Now this all started happening the day after I changed out my serpentine belt.

Oh, and the car occasionally shakes when I idle and accelerate, mainly because the engine is shaking I believe.

I would suggest you find a shop you feel comfortable with, and let them work on your car.
