What the funk.
As of Saturday, I found that one of my FK rear shocks on the Focus has blown. Being a little over a year old, I am rather frustrated and pissed off. They do have a lifetime warranty, but I have to send it off to Germany to get fixed and that will probably take months to complete. So now I need to find a set of Koni adjustables for the rear, while I send off the shock to get fixed. I figure this is a good excuse to upgrade my shocks, plus I'll have a nice set of backups in case this problem should occur again.
I still auto-xed the car with the bad shock, and it handled like ass. I couldn't get the ass end to kick out like it use to.
Does anyone have any local Koni hookups? I'd like to get the newer adjustables that do not require removal of the shock for adjustments.

I can drive the car regardless. I don't think it is entirely blown out (yet), but after jumping on the rear corner of the car you can tell it is alot mushier then the other corner. At times I can also hear/feel it hitting the bumpstop on bad bumps.
I faired okay at the auto-x. Best time was a 38.something in the rain. My best raw score was a 37, but I clipped a cone right in the end (+2second penalty). I'm still running Novice, but its probably time for me to move up into Street Mod...where I'll get my ass handed to me.

Here's the deal on doing well in street mod and this weekend proves it yet again...
1-4th place were on R compounds.
5-8 were on Street Tires.
I was 5th on street tires (too lazy to bring the R's across the state)
When you finish first among the street tires in SM, it's time for R compounds.

Ok...I was just told by someone that some leaking is "normal" on shocks. They also said that Koni told them that some leaking may occur with their shocks/struts, but that it is nothing to worry about. Is it just me, or does this sound like bullshit?
