my car runs like a gimpy man on a soapy floor. i have mega squirt 2.
the car runs but really rich. i basically need fuel load charts, afr charts... everything made timing, the whole sha-bang. so who's good to go to for this and what kind of price am i looking at? my stand alone can ONLY BE TUNED USING WINDOWS XP... cause its a effing pos.
u gotta download driver software for a serial port to usb 2.0 port. oddly enough only xp will download it. fuckers..
so yeah anyone that has a heads up on tuning it or can tune it shared_pm me. i at least need someone to write feul, afr, timing... charts for me.

Megasquirt has tuning software that is supported on Linux, and windows. The issues you are having that prevent you from using anything other than WinXP are not Megasquirt related. They are specific to your computer.
As for tuning, I used to work on these systems, but any aftermarket EFI system in general became too much work and drama, so i threw in the towel. There are however some bright young souls on here that are interested in using a standalone themselves, this may be a good chance for them to see what they are in for.

no i bought it wired into a stock ecu box so all you have to do is plug it in your factory wiring harness and run a vacuum, ground and wideband... problem is they normally have a serial port to plug in to, to tune them...
this guy built in a serial to usb adaptor. the adapter itself needs software downloaded to work, and it only works on xp, not vista or 7...
idk if you understood that right on not so just clearing it up.

I got it. It doesn't work because the wind is blowing from the wrong direction...and Jupiter is not aligned with Mars.
Just wait a few days and try it again.

Startup - AFR Start around 12 grading to 14.7 over the course of warmup. Timing, maybe 16 or so (idle speed may be controled by timing in 2.3T, not sure yet),
Cruising - AFR at 14.7, Timing - around 40ish, Fuel - Varies depending on your Injectors, Fuel Pressure, TB, etc.
WOT - AFR I I like 11.5 for 93 Octane, Timing - 18-22 or so depending on your level of comfort, Fuel - Varies depending on your Injectors, Fuel Pressure, TB, etc.
Acceleration Enrichment - 12's to low 14's depending on rate of change in load.
To get there, you need to either datalog/dyno or do a whole lot of plug reading...or all three.
The actual numbers you enter will depend on your particular tuner and how it is setup. For example, is the fuel measured in Kg/Hr or Lbs/ Min?
Get Brian, EFI-Unlimited or Rob and Joe at Fordspeed, Sam at Coastal to do it. You could always take a trip to Ft. Myers and have John Sheffler nail down your 2.3t. Or tippy toe througu it slowly and carefully yourself.

As long as your wideband is working and the computer interface is up and running i'd be willing to swing by and lend a hand.
Speaking of swinging by, Levi. I need you to swing by the Lab some day when you are in this neck of the woods and look at some wiring, if you are so inclined.
