got the engine out and tore apart from Joker Instituted's coupe today. i popped the mains off and the copper is showing very vibrantly on the bearings, wats the chance the crank needs to be turned or needs another one? the crank is very smooth, no ripples or un-even spots. i can take a couple pics if anyone needs to see the damage....

 

copper is bad . have the crank check out they will be able to tell u what u can do.

 

that dodt sound good. why do i have a feeling i might have to get another block. im praying that the cam bearings are ok. but that dont seem like its going to happen.

Where you the same one thinking that it only needed a new oil pump?

I told you that you would have some nice custom copper bearings.

Run you finger nail over it and see if it catch's on anything.....thats usually a good indication of if it needs some help. But just to be safe I would take it to a machine shop for final inspection IMO.

not so much grooves but almost like fine scratches.

 

just measure it. if you don't have the tools, have a machine shop do it.

 

under one of the mains. the crank looks awesome, the whole bottom end is super clean. just needs the bearings.
