Arent they held in with a roll pin? You have to drill the pin out with a 1/4 bit, and it falls out? I beleive thats what holds them in.

Hold on!!!! What are you replacing, one more time? Do youmean the ignition tumbler? The Key Switch? You want to take the roll pin out, and then the tumbler comes out? I think its held in with a roll pin, I cant remember for the life of me.

Yeah, thats the ignition actuator rod. So, where is it broken off at? On the tumbler or down by the ignition switch? Or somewhere in the middle? Either or, I will tell you this job sucks ass. Some people can do it in about a couple of hours, but they take about 6 hours total. The biggest issue you will have is clocking the rod to make sure it turns on the car and said accesories. Not to big of a deal. Thats why most people just go to the boneyard and buy the whole column.

Anyway, have you removed the multi pin igntion switch already? 2- 3/8 nuts hold it on. Remove those and the ignition switch, and part of the broken rod will come off. Try that, and get back to me.

ive got the ignition switch removed but cant seem to get the one rod out...how do u do that? also its broke right in the middle...looks like i have two rods one that is connected to the lock cylinder and one that with a notch in it for the ignition switch but they are not connected to each other...the rolling pin thing u said sounds about right
