Its the type of body style of stang that u have. The years are between 87-93. 94 and up is the sn95 body style.

Because it is on the Ford internally designated Fox chassis. Much like the Camaro and Firebird are F-bodies and Cavilier and Shitfire are J-bodies. It is the name for the unibody thats all.
