Default Crown Vic needs help!

So I have a 99 Crown Vic PI that needs help. I few months ago something happened and I now have a hole in the side of the block.

The main thing is that I live in a condo and nowhere do work on the car and I just dont have the tools to do the work.

Anyone know of anyone that could do the work without raping me, and is in the St. Pete area?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

On the drivers side of the block somewhere. I just jacked it up enough to get a glance and feel around enough to feel there was a hole.

assuming the motor is toast????.....sounds like a freeze plug if it is on the side of the block....had one rust out around the plug and cost me a motor due to old antifreeze

If a freeze did blow out there would be coolant eveywhere! Sounds like you probably snaped a rod and it shot out the side.

We are pretty fair on price alot of people tell us we are the cheapest around. Pm me and we will see what we can do for you.

unless you hydraulic'd the motor i doubt there is a hole in the casting of the block. most likely a freeze plug corroded.

just throw a bunch of JB weld over it and call it a day.

I believe it threw a rod. When it happened there was a loud bang and thump and then smoke was going everywhere from what seemed to be burning oil from it coming out of the hole onto the exhaust pipe or something.

I dont want to try to start it really. I jacked it up a little in the parking lot and looked and felt around and what i found by feeling around was a large hole that shouldnt be there.

the only way to really see the aftermath is going to be to pull the motor....do you live in a condo area with a homeowners assoc? they can be a real bitch about working on cars or if you have a garage that would be a good starting point....I know when I was tearing down my mustang I had to work on it in the garage
