downpipe/headers problem

Default downpipe/headers problem

im bout to go outside and see if i can connect the downpipe to the headers, never worked on fords before and last time i tried i couldnt do anything...my headers/downpipe arent connected right so by looking at the picture below, anyone have any USEFUL advice on how to fix it?

its a pain in the ass to get to it from above i tried banging the screws out but they wouldnt budge

seriously? those look like OE parts so it should go back together fine.. look down the line for something in the way. usually u dont tighten one side until both sides are flush. dont just crank a nut down on there to get it flush, unless you want to break it and get really pissed

Get below it and beat the fuck out of it with a sledge and a block of wood - try to hammer on alternating sides so you don't cock it to the side. It'll hammer upwards and should slide right in.

Use WD-40 and lots of blaster to soak into the bolts to let them free up....it takes some time, when I did the headers on the bronco it took a little bit to get it going....GL

i just looked and the bolts are rusted/melted so im not even gonna bother yea it prob. is

Are there any exhaust bolts anywhere that aren't in that condition? I haven't run across them.

Douche it well with PB Blaster.

Let sit overnight.

Douche it again with the PB.

Attack with impact wrench or breaker bar and proper socket.

In the unlikely event that fails, rub it with a gas hatchet and start over with new parts.

i just took care of some small holes the downpipe had and it sounds alot better but its still has a small leak....every bolt it has is rusted/melted so im not even gonna bother thanks for the help though
