Default Tall valve covers

Are tall valve covers just used for stud mount rockers?

And will the fit on a stock efi setup? for a 302.

Typically people use tall covers to clear higher profile roller rockers or cams with a bunch of lift.

There are so many different ones out there it is not easy to say what will fit for sure.

If I bought some and they did not clear the upper plenum, can I just stick in a spacer and viola?
