Exclamation '94 Cobra T5 specs?

Thinking about picking up a T5 out of a '94 Cobra to rebuild and put in my '84. Are the physical dimensions the exact same between the two? So, in other words, will that transmission bolt into my car with my existing crossmember & driveshaft?

THanks!

^ bad tech

The 94 transmission has a longer input shaft. You need the sn bell housing to make it work correctly. you may be able to switch just the bearing retainer.
it will not bolt in to your bell housing because it will not seat. long tubes will not fit as well with the sn bell.

Dumb question...

This transmission in question has a bad 3rd gear. I'm having the transmission guy go through the entire tranny and upgrading/rebuilding/replacing everything that is failure prone. If he is in there replacing shit anyways...could he replace the longer shafter with the correct foxbody input shaft?

replace your 94 input shaft with a 93 type. the 94-95 is about 5/8" longer
