rocker ratio?
welp since i have less money then expected to finish my car im just going to resort to the spray.
But i think the top end of my 306 is a bit large as far as flow of cfm.
i currently have the Roush 200 heads which have the 2.02/1.60 valves and a 200cc intake runner. And my intake is the Holley Systemax with a 70mm TB.
my question is i have a cam with only about .512 lift with a 1.6 rr. Since i am no longer going force fed should i look at jumping to a 1.72 rocker to get as much as i can out of the cam since(i think) the heads and intake are a bit big for the 306? i just figured it would make sense, and i shouldnt have any issued with valve clearance either. Plus i have the 1.72 rockers sitting on the shelf still so its no cash out of my pocket either way i go....
anyone see any problem with this? or know how much more overall lift i would gain with the 1.72 over the 1.6 rocker? i think it is something like .020-.030?

with a 1.72 rocker it would put u at .550 lift
all u do is take your max lift that u have, divide it by the rocker u run..that gives u your base number, then times it by the new rocker u are going to run.

hey man how youve been? whatever happened with that 347 you were putting together with those heads i sold you? the 1.72 rockers will bump the lift about .30 give or take but like everything to gain something you must give up another and in this case is valvetrain stability and if you break something the damage is greater with the 1.72 rocker. i personally wouldnt run them but ive seen other people do good with them. good luck.
