my windsor motor combo

just keeping you guys updated.i got my new vic jr heads and a used caiton oil pan. i need a 28oz flywheel so i can drop all my rotating assembly to be balanced.my compression with the 60.cc heads is going to to be 9.93.1.what kind of horse power do you think this thing will make with a vic jr intake, and big hyd roller around .560-.600 lift.

how much more are we talking about?358w

If it were me putting together a na/nitrous street combo,I'd get it in the low 11:1 ratio.Perfect for a pump gas spray combo.Or with 9.9:1 you could get a thick set of Cometics and get the compression down to boost levels.

harold harper 04-27-2007 03:22 PM

what do you think about putting a powerdyn supercharger with a 358w carb?i ahve seen a couple guys running blowers on there carb 351w.i am try to get details on what i would have to do to make that combo work.i talk to a couple of people about my compression and they said to stay around the low 10s so the motor would run good on pump gas.they said i won't losse much power from a 10.17.1 from a 10.8.1 they said mybe 15 horse.what you think?

351coupe 04-27-2007 03:40 PM

Put it this way.06 Zo6=11.0.1 with a factory warrenty,I think they run pretty well on pump gas, don't you?I think the carb blowthough idea would be great, just make sure you get/have built a good blowthough carb. And deffinetly make sure you have the fuel. That can get pricey though. If your kinda budget building there's nothing wrong with spray bro,I almost wish I just put a stroker motor with spray in my car instead of this damn turbo build. It might not of been as fast but I would atleast be having fun with it.

harold harper 04-27-2007 03:49 PM

do you think it would make that big of a diffrence from 10.17.1 to11.0.1

351coupe 04-27-2007 04:19 PM

I thought you said 9.93 was gonna be your compression ratio?9.93-11.0 is a good bump in compression.Don't quote me but prolly a 30-40hp difference.
