new here broke 5.0

car wont idle, revs up to 3500rpm and the shuts down. It will not start again unless I take battery wires off and then put them back on!! I am lost help if you can

What kind of car??? Sounds like your EEC is taking a shit on you.

Yeah +2 on the EEC. You are resetting eveytime you take off the battery terminal. 4 cylinder or V8?
