5.0 heads
I am making this post for a friend of mine so please dont attack me.
He wants to know what kind of heads he should go with on his 5.0 and its gotta be around $600 and under. He was thinking of the edelbrock performer rpm heads but if you have a better idea please feel free to respond. |
you wont get any new head for that price. get some gt40s and spend the rest on machine work and springs.
|
you could find some bare or needing repair heads for about that much.

gt40anythings make baby Jesus cry...but if its all you've got to work with...it outflows an E7 stocker...

Performer RPMs are roughly $600 new for each head. On top of that he'll need roller rockers if he doesn't already have some. Putting stock stamped steel rockers on new aftermarket heads is like Michael Jackson with a little boy on his lap.......it's just wrong. Screw the GT40 stuff and get some Edelbrocks, TFS, or whatever non-Ford made head if he's serious about making some good power.
