Default New problem...........F%@k

It wont start, the silinoid is just clicking and on the first try about every 15min or so the trys to turn over then stops.

the relay that sits on the the silinoid will start to smoke as well as the power and the ground.

what the hell is wrong with my car.

bad connections ..clean all battery terminal starter and noid connections and make sure they are tight. or if battery voltage is low the resistance created trying to turn over engine will cause the terminals to get hot

i'd probably throw a new starter on it if I were you...the reason your terminals are getting hot (you're about to melt them, or the wires, or fry your battery or alternator.........or everything) is the starter is trying to lock up, there's too much resistance in the line so the amperage is going back through your lines............kind of a laymans term but that's basicly what it's doing. can cost a whole lot more than a starter................another thing, I've personally had a lot of trouble with the rebuilts from the parts place, but if you pay an extra 20 bux, you usually get the new (not remanufactured one) and never have another problem..........or you can go to a junkyard and buy a starter off of a 3.8 v6, it's the small starter, just a slightly different wiring, will help you have less starter lock up probs!

when your battery is too low it will heat up the cables also, then when you let it sit it gets a surface charge. id try a different battery out of another car first
