Radiator question??

I'm building another Modular fox car. I am using a 04 Cobra engine. On my last car I used an 04 Cobra radiator but for this one I want to use a radiator that uses the Fox mounts and location. I've been looking at Griffin radiators but is an aluminum 2 core going to cool my car just as well as the stock cobra radiator? Is there somewhere local that I could have a custom radiator made for the car? What would something like that cost?

Thanks...

My Griffin sportsman, single row 31x 19 keeps my motor cool with a cast iron water pump

Jason, Get yourself a Fluidyne rad. from A&E. It cools my 414 killer!! Or the one from Summit, it seems to be a knock off, but it is alot less.

I'm just trying to get peoples opinions on radiators...

I just finished a 302 swap in my Ranger. Would the Cobra motor into the 86 be all that much harder to do?

I've never put a 302 in a Ranger so its hard to compare. But as for the cobra motor in the 86 Fox I can comment. I imagine it is more work to put the cobra motor into a fox than a 302 in a ranger. If your real good at measuring and fabrication you should be able to complete the fox. You will need a welder to fab brackets and make small modifications to the fox. If you decide to go that route let me know and I'll tell you where to start.

Thanks Dion I didn't think of Fluidyne I'll check them out. Is there any special model you got?

Call and ask for Matt. He got mine for me for around $320 I believe.. Just tell him it's going into a Mustang and he will look it up.

I installed a summit radiator just like the Fluidine. It is there version. 31x19 2 row aluminum and it cools my car great! Even in the dead hot summer with the a/c on. I have a H/C/I carbed 306 and I could not ask for more and it was $167 I belive.
